With international traveller grinding to a halt, and domestic travel severely restricted, the tourism industry has been suffering more than most. Today the Queensland Government is launching the International Tourism Adaption Grant to help tourism operators:
- Pivot their product, service and/or marketing to a domestic tourism market.
- Meet operating costs while the business hibernates until international markets reopen.
The grants range from a minimum of $2000 to a maximum of $10,000 (excluding GST). To be eligible your business needs to be able to demonstrate losses of income due to international travel restrictions, have a headquarters in Queensland, primarily operate outside of south-east Queensland, and have an annual pre-pandemic turnover of $75,000 and over.
Pivoting your business to better serve/market to a domestic audience can be daunting, but we are here to help. Get in contact with us today and let’s have a chat about what we can do to help your pivot, be it digital marketing, new media material, a website upgrade, a refreshed brand identity etc.
To apply and for more information about eligibility visit the grant’s information hub: https://www.dsdti.qld.gov.au/our-work/covid-19-international-tourism-adaptation-grant
